It really doesn't matter if you have the best product on the market, the most successful business plan, or even gobs of money to throw at prospects when it comes to online businesses. If you don't have personality, then everything else is a secondary thought. However, it's not just about having one yourself, but also being able to build one around your business. Whether people see it in your writing, in videos, or simply the presentation of a website, a person's personality is going to be noticeable through it all.

So in short, you can actually prove the success of your business just by improving your overall personality. There are four main areas that you will have to work on in order to gain the interest and trust of others. While we consider these to be the four most important qualities, you may even come up with a few of your own.

Just Be There*

Whenever there is something in doubt, an individual is struggling with information, or someone has a question, you have to be there. Obviously you're not going to be sitting at the computer 24/7, but you will have to figure out a way to help those in need. This can be done through a "contact us" area on your website, listing a phone number, or even showing everyone your email. Whatever the case may be in your situation, just make sure it happens. Those who are interested in your product or service will feel as though you are extremely dependable.

Being Reliable*

This is another step in the right direction. However, it doesn't just mean being there. The idea is to build trust with your clients and prospects, which means doing things when you're supposed to do them. No one likes a procrastinator, and this is especially true if someone gives you money upfront. Building this trust can be done through sales or landing pages, informative articles, seminars, mini-courses, and a host of other scenarios.

Be Honest*

While the first two are important, if you're lying through your teeth it's a fast road to failure. All it takes is one person to spread the word, and before you know it life on the internet is over regarding business ventures. If you claim your product or service has something, make sure it's in the material. False claims can also get you in trouble with the FTC.

The Quality Advantage*

Above all else make sure you have a quality product or service. If you know some people will fail at this venture, don't hard sell them to join. Building a strong foundation upfront will definitely show you the rewards down the road. It also means you may need to invest a little money to make it better. If you can do all these things, the results will be positive in the end.
